ISM Non-Manufacturing Index: The Institute for Supply Management’s non-manufacturing index increased by 2.4 points month on month (+3.6% m/m) to 69.1 in November 2021.
ISM Manufacturing Index: The Institute for Supply Management’s manufacturing index moved up 0.3 points month on month (m/m) to 61.1 for November 2021; this value is stronger than the forecast of 50. The new orders sub-index scored a 61.5. Overall, the ISM manufacturing index is strong, while the global economy is beginning to strengthen again following shutdowns throughout Covid-19.

ISM Manufacturing Index: The Institute for Supply Management’s manufacturing index moved down 0.3 points month on month (m/m) to 60.8 for October 2021; this value is stronger than the forecast of 50. The new orders sub-index scored a 59.8 while the imports sub-index scored a 49.1. Both values took a 10% drop in October.

U.S. Manufacturing Capacity Utilization: Manufacturing capacity utilization (MCU) reached 75.87% in September 2021, down 0.77% month on month (m/m). On a year on year (y/y) comparison, the MCU was a modest +6.33%.
